Recent study related to industrial and commercial kitchen odour control
In the city of Cologne, Germany, there have been an increasing number of resident complaints in recent years related to odour nuisance from restaurants.
For this reason, Olfasense GmbH, together with the German environmental consulting engineers from Ingenieurbüro Rau, ran an odour study for the Municipality of Cologne to quantify and evaluate the odour impact of individual restaurants operating charcoal grill facilities.
The results of the odour assessment were recently published in the German environmental magazine Umweltmagazin. We are happy to report that based on the expert opinion several restaurants decided to install a filter system on a voluntary basis.
