New tool for assessing fugitive odour emissions

Nick Jones, our UK odour expert and managing director of Olfasense UK Ltd gave a very interesting talk concerning fugitive odour emissions from industrial buildings at the recent Aqua Enviro odour conference in Leeds.

The presentation focussed on a new tool for estimating fugitive emissions and design requirements for building ventilation systems to achieve an effective level of control of odour.

The approach has applications during the design of new odorous industrial facilities, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of existing building ventilation and odour control systems for regulatory compliance (e.g. BATc for the waste and wastewater sector), nuisance investigations, and planning impact assessments.
