Odour emissions from building products & indoor air quality
Olfasense is accredited for odour measurements according to ISO 16000-28: Indoor air – Determination of odour emissions from building products using test chambers.
We use test chambers to assess any odorous emissions from building products. This emission testing will determine the odour’s acceptability and intensity, as well as its hedonic tone (how pleasant, unpleasant or offensive it is).
This gives manufacturers, builders and end users an evaluation of the odour impact of building products on the indoor air quality, and it promotes product development and optimisation.
We can analyse products under realistic conditions similar to their everyday use in buildings, or analyse the final impact on the indoor air quality using our twin room facility (four identical rooms, each 10m2).
Olfasense is also manufacturer of ISO 16000-9 compliant emission test chambers to determine the emissions of volatile organic compounds from building products and furnishing.
